Which biometric devices does Rotabook support?

Almost certainly the one you already have. Rotabook works with the fingerprint and face devices common in Indian shops, so you're not buying new hardware. At setup, we connect it to whatever is already on your wall.

Does Rotabook work with ZKTeco and eSSL devices?

It does. The ZKTeco and eSSL machines most shops already run are supported, the ZKTeco K40, F18, F22 and MB360, and the eSSL K90 series among them. Setup is a 30-minute remote session, and we connect to the device you've already got. There's no replacement to buy.

What's the difference between Rotabook and ZKTime or eSSL eBio software?

ZKTime and eBio keep the data on the device and make you export it by USB whenever you want a report. Rotabook talks to that same device over your network and pulls punches in real time. It sorts the shifts, works out the overtime, and feeds payroll directly. You're not exporting anything or typing it back in.

Where does attendance data live?

On your own PC, the one sitting at the counter. Rotabook runs on-premises, so your staff records stay with you and don't live on anyone else's cloud.

How does Rotabook handle staggered shifts?

Each person has their own shift window, and punches are read against that, not against one store-wide 9 AM line. So someone who starts at 10 is never marked late for it.

How quickly do punches appear?

About a minute. The device feeds Rotabook over your network, so the first clock-in shows up almost at once and the register stays live through the day.

Does attendance connect to payroll?

Yes, all the way through. The hours, the late marks and the overtime go straight onto the salary sheet, so payroll is built from what really happened rather than typed in again by hand.

What happens if the internet drops?

It carries on as normal. Rotabook lives on your shop PC and works over the local network, so punches are captured whether the internet is up or not. When you are online, a secure link lets you check in from anywhere.
